Jennifer Miller-Bender

Jennifer Miller-Bender got her start in Hollywood casting with Executive Producer Al Burton on the sets of “Charles in Charge” and “The New Lassie.” In the early 1990s, Jennifer worked in casting and with the Matthau Company. Besides casting, she was a talent scout, management, and raised funds for films.

Jennifer has worked with all the major studios, including Universal, Warner Brothers, FOX, Disney, and Paramount. She worked with Bill Dance Casting, Central Casting, Aaron Spelling, Al Burton, Ron Howard, Frank Darabont, Scott Mednick, Dennis Quaid, Walter Matthau, Charlie Matthau, Jack Lemmon, Sissy Spacek, Kevin Kline, and many more.

She raised her kids in Arizona, and back then, it was considered as one of the top three places in the U.S. to film movies. Since then, it had dropped to the bottom. So naturally, when she moved back, she wanted to help bring the movie industry back to the area.

She was brought to a local film industry meeting, but when Jennifer spoke to the group about bringing in real movies, she didn’t realize she was stepping on toes She didn’t realize that actually scared these people. Jennifer had the ability to not only get everybody SAG unionized, which would allow them to do SAG films (and get paid more), but it would also open the doors to bring in SAG films, which meant Diane Keaton, Dennis Quaid, or another A-lister who Jennifer had worked with before. But that also meant the SAG A-lister would then take the principle role in a film production and it would ultimately leave out the people who weren’t union.

However, Jennifer didn’t see it that way. She saw it as, “Now we’ll have five movies here that made $100 million and bring revenue to Arizona.”

A combined group started three or four Facebook pages: I Hate Jennifer Miller or I’m Jennifer Miller and I Am A Fraud. They created three or four sites. They denied her entertainment background They were not going to stop. Jennifer surmised it was because there were two general emotions at play: fear and love.

One fello looked to be in pursuit of Jennifer’s family offline. He knew where they lived. Jennifer had hired a private investigator.

Jennifer confirms, “I had the police drive by all the time. They were on alert. They still are. It got really dirty. He (the offline bully) said (in a public Facebook post) he would treat me like a wounded deer during hunting season and that he would skin me alive and then dice me up into little pieces and eat me. I had bodyguards from Navy Seals out of Portland that went on that website confirming this."

In the end, she just stood true to who she was.  Karma got most of her cyberbullies in the end.
